SO glad you were there and are here now, dear Maija. What gives me joy as I progress on the journey of life, is simple, everyday things...listening to the songbirds in my garden and watching them splash in the fountains. Sharing a cup of tea with a friend at the kitchen table and talking for hours about the stuff of life. And walking. Simply walking around the neighborhood and in my garden. And learning to be present in the moment is such a practice . Thank you for your words of wisdom...and JOY!

Yesterday my joy was being the worship associate in church and as I welcomed everyone to the service dropped the comment "It's now 6mos to Christmas" and made everyone laugh (ok some groaned!).
Making people feel warm and fuzzy every day brings me joy. Whether it's a text to someone I haven't talked to in a while or telling a joke and hearing the laughter. THAT brings joy to my heart.
Today I had no demands on my time this afternoon so I sat and enjoyed a book and spent time with my jigsaw puzzle. Today THAT was my joy.
I look forward to see what tomorrow's joy will be for me.
My heart filled with joy as I read this, Maija! And I was smiling! I loved the fact that you could just be present-in the moment- and grateful for that fact. I, too am finding joy in the cooler temperatures and ability to go outside in the afternoon. I also found joy making blackberry jam today. I’d be happy to share some with you and Hally.
