I have listened to Joni and Brandi singing from Newport festival at-least a hundred times now. Her biography is something!! Have always been a fan but I love listening to her even more today, AND…I love listening to YOU!!
Maija, thank you for your wonderful reflections. I am in Santa Cruz with friends (and Lily!) resting after a lovely walk by the beach. All of those are miracles, 1) in Santa Cruz, 2) with friends, 3) I walked by the beach! 2 1/2 years ago none of those were possible. I will need rest and recovery time at home and then I will be able to go out again! I do feel the wistfulness of aging and the recognition of what used to be possible that will not be again but your thoughts have brought me to the present of what I can do.
Thank you once again for your beautiful reflections on life as it is today. Even without dealing with a life threatening illness, there are times I feel wistful too by what I can no longer do or never did, but I also remember that I have had my day in the sun, and the memory of those clear blue days feeds my spirit and reminds me how fortunate I am.
Keep on writing, dear Maija and reminding of us how each day we have is precious. You are an inspiration! Love and hugs
I, too, love Joni, and am inspired by her amazing comeback. Thank you for this eloquent reflection, Maija.
Just...thank you for this ! God bless you .
