A year ago I started writing here as an exploration of the truths that life is hard and beautiful at once, and that it is possible to find healing even in the broken places. A year later, healing still happens.
January was hard. January was beautiful. I wish I could tell you these two stories simultaneously.
Oh Maija. I am so sorry to hear that your cancer is professing. The news makes me want to say very many f-bombs! I am so grateful though to feel the joy of the music festival through your words. Thank you for sharing with us. Sending love and healing to you all. ❤️❤️❤️
What a beautiful piece about GJWW5! Thank you. I wish I had met you. Holding you and your wife in my thoughts and looking forward to seeing you at GJWW6!
Holding you in my heart as always, Maija. I’m so happy that you have these wonderful visual and aural memories to revisit when you need to. They can lift the spirits and bring a smile. May the new road not be too bumpy. Sending love.
dear Maija, I'm so sorry it mutated and hold hope with you that the new treatment will keep you and your beautiful words with us. Thank you for sharing your heart here.
Sending refuah shelama – prayers for healing – to you, your wife, and your mom. I remain ever grateful for your writing, your being, your heart, and your f-bombs. And the music!
Maija, I am so sorry to hear the cancer is progressing. And, I am awed by your ability and willingness to relish in life's joys in the midst of hard, unwelcome events. Sending you all the love and positive energy that this round of treatment works.
Lovely descriptions of life and the festival. I know someone else who was there as well. Sounds amazing! Excellent that you were able to go!
