Hello, sweet Maija. I just thoroughly enjoyed reading your Thanksgiving pie essay, and rereading "Pie" from 2022. I then listened to you read it. My goodness, how I love to listen to your voice. It brings me such joy, to hear your voice. I am now listening Brandi Carlile sing, "Human," which was the song you recommended at the bottom of your "too much stuff" piece, which, you well know, spoke to me. ;) I love this song! What a beautiful, beautiful song. I love you, too, Maija. xo kkf
So great to hear the latest news. AMAZING YOU on all fronts! I got rid of a bunch of stuff last month but now doing a second “fall”purge in my garage thanks to you inspiring me! 😆LOL! 🎃❤️
How lovely to find your post today. I'm recovering from a very common yet challenging-to-me knee replacement surgery 6 days ago. My brain is a bit addled with painkillers and I'm not up to working on my "to do" list. So reading your post with good news was a balm for my spirit and a distraction of my knee pain.
I love the reminder to use what I've been saving and find homes for the rest of all the stuff. I'm not yet there, but I've made a little progress. I remind myself that life is ultimately too short for all of us compared to the ancient coastal redwood trees who some have been standing sentinel for 2000 years! I used to tell the families of children born with serious heart defects thatas parents they were robbed of the denial that other parents carried with a planned future for their child or them. But in reality no one knows when our end will come, and it can change in a heartbeat! Thank you for your post.
I've been trying to do Swedish Death Cleaning ever since my dad died in 2008 and my sisters spent the summer clearing out his house. While I've made progress, you wouldn't know it by looking at my home office, closets, and underneath the bed.
I'm happy you got good news, and I always learn from your posts and beautiful writing. Thank you for writing it. ❤️

Thanks Stephanie. I think the sort is probably never completely done
Love to you and Hally 💕
Rowing slowly with you through a cozy wintering of clearing. Thank you - was a gentle, encouraging message to continue on 🐳
I love the image of rowing slowly 💗
